Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account info: the email address and username you sign up with, and your password (stored securely hashed — we never see it in plain text).
• Content you post: uploaded videos, titles, descriptions, comments, and likes.
• Upload IP address: we record the IP address used for each video upload, for abuse prevention and to be able to report illegal content to the appropriate authorities. This is never shown publicly and is only accessible to site administrators.
• Usage data: which videos you view, like, save to Watch Later, and who you add as a friend — used to power those features (like your history and the Highlights ranking) and never shown to other users beyond what you choose to make visible (e.g. your public comments).

2. How we use it

To operate your account, moderate uploads, prevent abuse, respond to legal requests, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party services we use

Running HoodratFreaks means some of your data is processed by these providers on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication.
• Bunny.net — hosts, transcodes, and streams uploaded video files.
• Cloudflare — provides bot/spam protection on uploads and comments.
• Resend — delivers account emails (signup confirmation, password resets).

4. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your profile and uploaded content; some records (like abuse reports already made to authorities) may be retained where legally required.

6. Minors

HoodratFreaks is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. The Service requires all users to be at least 18 years old to create an account.
